루이비통 Louis Vuitton

이 브랜드를 모르는 사람이 없을 정도로 명품으로 알려진 Louis Vuitton 브랜드이다. 나의 생각이지만, 그만큼 유명한 브랜드라면, 본점 건물의 외관도 신경을 많이 쓰지 않을까 하는 생각이 드는데 내 생각이 맞는거 같다. 작년까지 잠원동을 살면서 버스를 타고 학원을 가는 길에 자주 보던 건물이지만, 이 건물에 대해 내 의견을 써야겠다는 생각을 가지고 건물을 보니 사뭇 다른 느낌이 들었다. 사진에서는 잘 보이지 않지만, 로고가 새겨져 있는 부분은 얇은 철에 미세한 간격을 두고 원형으로 구멍을 내서 멀리서 봤을때는 검은 빛만 비추고 투과되는것 처럼 보이게 된다. 사진에서 볼수 있는 거와 같이 말이다.

이런 스타일의 건물도 굉장히 마음에 드는 건물중 하나이다. 건물자체는 아주 심플하게 지었으며, 앞부분에 유리창을 크게 내어 지나다니면서도 사람들이 물품을 볼 수 있게끔 마케팅적으로도 잘 생각한거 같다는 느낌이 들면서, 건물의 가장자리에 분리되어 있는듯한 느낌의 구조물을 붙이면서 이 Louis Vuitton 건물은 완벽하게 형태를 잡을 수 있었던 것 같다. 만약 겉의 구조물이 없다고 생각하면 그저 유리창만 큰 간단한 건물이 되었을 것이다. 건물 앞으로 심어져 있는 세 그루의 나무가 마치 자연과 조화되는 듯한 느낌을 심어주어 더더욱 보기 좋았던것 같다.

Louis Vuitton is a fashion designer brand that is extremely famous. I thought a brand like Louis Vuitton would pay close attention to its shop designs and I was right. The outer shell of the building is made of metal with a lot of circular wholes that let the light through. The building itself is very simple with a huge glass window that allows people to see what Louis Vuitton can offer to them. The extra structure that is added to the edge of the building complete the design and finish the balance of the building. Also, the three trees in front of the building offer a harmony with the nature.
