고릴라 건물 Building with a Gorilla

압구정동 갤러리아 쪽에 있는 건물이다. 이 건물은 오래 전에 세워졌지만, 디자인만큼은 요즘 건물들과 비교해 봤을때 뒤쳐지지 않는다. 그 이유는, 건물 자체는 아주 기본적인 형식이지만 모서리 부분을 조금 특히 하게도 큰 고릴라가 타고 올라가고 있는, 영화 '킹콩'을 연상시키는 장면이 연출되기 때문이다.

어렸을때 부터 이 건물을 쭉 봐왔지만, 지금 다시 보니, 정말 대단한것 같다. 검은색 건물에, 노란색으로 되어 있는 철근들, 무심코 결정한 것이 아닌 것이라는 것을 한 순간에 알아 채릴 수 있었다. 첫번째는 정면에 찍은 사진인데, 가장 오른편 창문의 모양을 특히하게 함으로서 건물을 봤을때, 딱딱한 느낌을 받지 않도록 해주었다. 또한 한가지 모양의 창문만이 아닌 3가지가 잘 배치되어 있어 안정적이면서도 편안한 느낌을 주고 있다.

This building is one of my favorite. As you can see, there is a gorilla hanging on the building. It reminds me the movie "King-Kong", because there was a scene that king-kong climbs the Empire States Building. I also like how windows are arranged. Using three different windows designs, it reduces the building's formal mood. Even though, this building is old, its design is absolutely outstanding. Later on, when i become a architect, i really want to build this kind of unconventional buildings to show my creativity.
